Project Manager

PM with 12+ years of experience to manage multi-discipline Architectural & Engineering design teams on design/build projects for the Corps of Engineers. Excellent client relations skills and project experience from planning through construction. A complete understanding of codes, specifications and construction administration is required. Licensed Architect or Engineer preferred.

Project Inception:
-Develops project scope of work, schedule, and budget with Project Principal.
-Determines project staffing requirements and arranges staff assignments with Studio Manager(s) and Team Leaders.

Project Delivery:
-Maintains lead Client contact during project delivery including scope, schedule and deliverables.
-Supervises the work of the Project Team on assigned project(s).
-Coordinates development of Contract Documents and reviews to insure quality.

Sr. Designer or Electrical Engineer

(EIT or PE preferred) Candidate must have minimum 10 years of experience with A/E firm in government, education and commercial project design. Responsible for complete electrical project development. Power, lighting, security, and special system skills required. Medium voltage experience a plus. Proficiency in MicroStation or AutoCAD.

Project design duties:
-Consults with Client to determine objective and resources of project.
-Responsible for development of project in specific regard to Scope of Work, budget, and schedule.
-Responsible for preparation of Contract Documents, following established Office Standards.
-Oversees selection of materials, equipment, colors, and other components.
-Oversees Code analysis and compliance of project design.
-Interfaces with other disciplines to integrate all project elements into unified design.
-Oversees preparation of project estimates.
-Oversees technical and coordination checking of project documents.

Jr. Designer

An A.A.S. degree from a 2 year college or technical school or equivalent experience and training required. Proficiency is required in CADD production (MicroStation preferred.

Document production utilizing CADD:
-Utilizes computer assisted design and drafting (CADD) equipment and software to prepare plans, details, schedules and other documents from rough or detailed sketches, drawing mark-ups, or verbal instructions prepared by Designers and Architects or Engineers, following established Office Standards.

Other production duties:
-Assists with assigned components of project Architectural or Engineering design.
-Assists in detailed measure-ups of existing project conditions at locations outside of BDA offices.
-Assists in material quantity take-offs for project estimates.
-Assists Discipline Head in development of Design Standards by suggesting improvements.
