As part of a mechanical, electrical, and plumbing term contract with SUNY Albany, BDA designed the renovation of a 1,200 SF research laboratory. The goal of the project is to use the renovation as a model for all other chemistry laboratories in the building.
In order to turn the outdated lab into a state of the art teaching facility, BDA incorporated features that the Chemistry Department wanted addressed in the new facility. The resulting design includes new lighting, new hoods, instructional flat screen monitors, and 20 workstations. The department specified that the workstations be equipped with power, wireless networking, natural gas, hot and cold water, RO water, drains, steam, and vacuum.
