Portions of the 440,000 SF Marketplace Mall in Cicero, NY were to be demolished, while other portions of the building were to be substantially renovated. Since floor plans of the building were not available, BDA measured building components and prepared to-scale drawings of the entire facility, including tenant spaces.
The purpose of the asbestos survey was to identify the types, locations, conditions, and approximate quantities of ACM before the commencement of demolition and renovation activities. Based on the results of the survey, BDA prepared an Asbestos Abatement specification, and Asbestos Air Sampling and Analysis specification, and detailed drawings. The colored drawings included scaled floor/roof plans and notes in order to specify the asbestos abatement work required.
