Beardsley Design Associates - Portfolio - Environmental Redevelopment

The former Syracuse Rigging property had been used for heavy industrial manufacturing. In order to stimulate redevelopment of the site, the Syracuse Industrial Development Agency (SIDA) planned an industrial park, but environmental and physical limitations required resolution before the site could be occupied. SIDA asked BDA to provide guidance in investigating and remiation site contamination, under New York State’s Environmental Restoration program.

BDA served as regulatory liaison for the Syracuse Industrial Development Agency, and performed Phase I and Phase II environmental assessments. Included were site investigation and remedial alternatives reports, asbestos surveys, and abatement designs, and preparation of applications for State assistance.
