Beardsley Design Associates - Portfolio - Auburn YMCA Building Renovations

BDA provided design solutions for accessibility issues at the Auburn YMCA. A major element of this was the creation of an accessible family locker room/bathroom facility.

During construction of this space it was discovered that the steel beams in the ceiling were rapidly deteriorating. Because the beams also made up the floor of the men’s health club, renovation of this space was also added to the project. By reacting quickly and thoroughly BDA was able to minimize the impacts of this unforeseen condition to the construction schedule and cost.

This project also addressed various maintenance issues throughout the facility including a new de-humidification for one of the pools, new roof and ceiling for the B-gym, racquetball court renovations, locker room and bathroom renovations, and asbestos abatement.
