A Behind-the-Scenes Look at the Cazenovia Mixed-Use Apartments

Construction is well underway on the new Cazenovia Mixed-Use Apartments, and progress on site is bringing this exciting project closer to completion later this year. What was once an unused lot where a previously owned auto shop use to stand, is being made into a multi-purpose building meant to serve the community with additional housing a retail spaces. The project will feature 32 residential units, including four penthouse apartments that offer views of the surrounding village and private outdoor patio space. Each apartment is designed with comfort and functionality in mind, including the convenience of in-unit laundry.

Beardsley approached the design with a focus on honoring the previous building. while collaborating with the village to create a structure that feels both modern and thoughtfully integrated into Cazenovia’s historic character.

Beyond residential living, the building will include three retail and commercial spaces at the ground level. These spaces are intended to provide amenities and services that benefit both residents and the surrounding community.

Parking has also been carefully considered, with a dedicated resident parking lot and an on-site parking garage. In addition, residents will enjoy access to shared amenities, including a rooftop space, and an on-site gym to support active lifestyles.

As construction continues, each phase brings more definition to the vision behind this project. From structural progress to interior build-outs, it’s exciting to see the development take shape. The Cazenovia Mixed-Use Apartments represent a blend of contemporary and timeless design, practical amenities, and community-focused planning. We look forward to seeing it fully realized in the months ahead.
