As Principal and shareholder of the firm, Gig Elliott is a consensus builder. He oversees key functions and establishes strategic initiatives in collaboration with the executive board and shareholders.

As a technical professional, Gig functions as Principal-in-Charge, setting direction, mentoring, providing quality reviews and consulting with his Project Managers and technical teams, and client coordination. He brings a unique perspective to technical discussions and design, working 17 years as an electrician prior to engineering.

Gig's professional passion is to assemble and develop the best people available who deliver by first understanding the Client's needs and then providing services in a manner that meets those needs. Better informed delivery enables the Client to thrive and grow! Mentoring individuals to share this vision and desire is one of his personal goals.

Joining Beardsley in 1994, he rose quickly within the firm, becoming a Principal in 1999, Executive VP in 2002 and President in 2004. In 2016, Gig stepped down as President of the Firm to begin a transition in firm leadership. In 2018, he stepped off the board of directors to further assist in firm transition. He works extensively with both public and private clients.

In his spare time, Gig is an avid runner and competed in his third Boston Marathon in April 2018. Running provides him time for relaxation and reflection as he strives to achieve his demanding personal and professional goals. He is committed to improving the community in which he lives, serving on the board of the Cayuga Counseling Services and on the continuing education committee for ACECNY.
