Olympic Site Staff Facility

As a term contract holder with the New York Olympic Redevelopment Authority, Beardsley provided programming, schematic design, and construction documentation for the renovation and conversion of the bobsled “Sled Shed” building into the new OSC staff office facility.

A Full-Scale Renovation

To create the new office building, the upper floor of the existing Sled Shed was reconfigured and fully renovated. New mechanical, plumbing, and electrical systems were installed throughout the building along with a new thermal envelope. Additionally, updates were made to the first aid station on the ground level. Site work at the staff office building will include paving repair, landscaping restoration, new concrete pads to accommodate exterior HVAC units.
