Delphi Falls County Park, Visitor Center and Accessible Restrooms

Madison County acquired Delphi Falls County Park in 2018, bringing approximately 63 acres and two waterfalls into public ownership. The property also included an existing house and barn. To enhance the visitor experience, the County sought to create a visitor center with accessible restrooms.

Assessing Existing Conditions

Beardsley conducted a detailed assessment of the existing buildings to determine whether they could be renovated for the new facility or if new construction would be the most feasible option. Following the assessment, Beardsley recommended a new visitor center designed to support both park visitors and community programs.

The New Park Facility

The new facility includes a large multi-purpose room for community programs and rentals, a kitchen, Park staff office, accessible restrooms, and ample storage. Separate restrooms are connected by a covered walkway, allowing them to remain accessible when the main building is closed. The visitor center also takes advantage of views overlooking the nearby falls.
