Affordable Housing Development Design

Beardsley Architects + Engineers provided full architectural and engineering design services for West Valley, an affordable housing development in Lake Placid. This second phase expands the existing West Valley housing complex and was funded and monitored by the New York State Division of Housing and Community Renewal (DHCR).

Adirondack-Style Townhouses

The new development includes 11 apartments and a management office. Each 6,500 sq ft wood-framed building offers comfortable two- and three-bedroom units with in-floor radiant heating for resident comfort.

An Adirondack architectural style was required to align with Lake Placid’s zoning and planning standards. This style not only complements the surrounding neighborhood but also creates a welcoming environment that residents are proud to call home.
