Mixed-Use Housing Development Design

Beardsley Architects + Engineers, in collaboration with Beacon Communities, is providing architectural and engineering design services for a mixed-use commercial, parking, and residential development in Saratoga Springs, NY. The project supports the growth of affordable housing in the region and aligns with the area’s Transect Zoning, complementing an established neighborhood of market-rate apartments, townhouses, and local businesses.

Plans for the four-story main building include approximately 46 residential apartments, with a mix of one-, two-, and three-bedroom units, alongside 4,500 square feet of commercial space on the ground floor. Amenities for residents include a multi-purpose space, laundry facilities, bicycle storage, a conference room, and on-site management offices.

Additionally, a protected, semi-underground parking court serves residents while an additional parking lot provides overflow capacity. The design also features ten attached rowhouses that add to the architectural diversity of the neighborhood.

Each living space is designed for efficient construction and comfortable day-to-day living, contributing to Saratoga Springs’ vision for vibrant, connected, mixed-use communities.
